Art Journal: In A Caged World, Be a Free Bird.

This art journal page was inspired by a recent stencil I purchased. I didn't really know what to do or where to begin. So, I sort of just went with the first thing I know I wanted to do or the look I wanted. I went for a vintage look.  It turned out a little different than I envisioned but then again, I haven't really decided if I like it or not.

Time Is Of The Essence

Another quote that inspired me. Now again, since I didn't have very many things to do more of a mixed media piece, I used many items I found in my supplied drawer.

I sort of just went with my gut and the first thing that came to my mind. I'm not truly happy with it but I do like the way it turned out. This is my second page.

Lost In Time

Most often than not, my inspiration comes from random pictures I see online or quotes that I read. This one that I did is just that. I read a quote that really made me go "Woaaaah".  It's deep, depressing, and kind of sweet in a weird sort of a way. I tried to make it really cool then somehow it just built on that. I didn't really go for perfection. I really just wanted to illustrate the surrealism. Perhaps you guys can think differently when you look at it. I'd love to hear what you think or see. Please do tell me!

I don't know what it was about this quote that really got me, but it totally made me backtrack a little. It made think to that one moment. That one relationship whether it is with family, friends, or significant others that you just want a do-over. That one moment that you want back. To feels everything or perhaps nothing at all. That moment that you want a second chance. That one lost moment that you thought you can never have. To have all of that in the blink of an eye. If only, if only, you could close your eyes.

My Very First Page!

I got most of my inspiration from looking at random YouTube videos and searching tons of Pinterest boards! I don't have very many supplies but that's quite alright. I used my noggin and just went to work. One thing I came to learn, at least for myself, is that quotes make it easier. So guys, just pick a quote and go at it! Let your imagination  run wild and just create, create, create!
